How does the date icon work?

How does the icon update each day? Like the code?

Ssh into your phone an look at info.plist i believe in there you will see the code

how does it make it update tho? well heres my idea and why i need to no how to make it update.. i want to make the app store icon to update.. so the icon would be the new latest icon in the app store.. or u can change it and make it a catigory so if u only care about games then the latest game icon will be the app store icon.
