i got a snes emulator but am having trouble downloading roms. do i have to download them to my pc? any info appreciated.

I don't think we are allowed to speak of roms here.. As they're illegally distributing copyrighted software..
But I'm sure a google search will enlighten you ;p

You don't have to do that method. If you are going to download them from PC, you will have to SSH them in your iDevice. To download them into the iDevice, you will need a tweak that will download them on Safari.

Its NOT illeagal unless u get a non owned game. So if u own lets say pokemon green, u can get the rom but not red

You can also use a usb file explorer program like diskaid or iphonebrowser. I think they would go in var/mobile/media. You should see a roms folder there if you have a emulator installed.

You are right on that, but a lot of people (not saying OP is going to) get the rom even though they don't own it.

I own all the games that I play on PSX 4 All on my iPhone. That's because I play it on my iPhone because I found I liked it on my Playstation, but since my Playstation broke, this is all I have and I don't want to buy another Playstation lol. We are all different when it comes to values and ethics...but we should always assume the best from people until proven wrong.

Im actually hoping to throw some people on a guilt trip with my mini speech lol...is it working?? Haha
