Copying Videos From iPod Touch 4g

Hey guys, I have a question.
Is there a way to copy videos and photos taken from the iPod 4g (And i'm assuming the iphone as well)?

I want to restore my iPod. I know you can just manually copy the files and then sync them back to it, but i want them to be in the camera app, not under videos app / photos app.

I believe that videos/music/photos are stored under /var/mobile/Media/iTunes_control/Music.
There is a bunch of "F" Folders (F00-F49).

If i ssh'd all of those folders off my ipod, restored it and ssh'd them back over the new folders i should get all my media back right?

Basically what i want is to copy all files that the camera has taken and be able to put them back under the camera app.


I'm not sure if this post made much sense, if you don't understand something please ask and i'll try to explain.

Would copying and replacing that folder restore everything to how it was before?
