Increase root/system partition size

Just want to know, if there is a way to increase the root/system partition size on iphone 3gs running 4.1 without restoring to a custom IPSW?

Yes you can. The root system contains A LOT of useless language packs that you don't need. Google that and you will find the locations of these. On a fresh jailbreak I had around 80mb or so of the root storage. After deleting a bunch of carrier bundles n language packs I didn't need it went up to 154 mb on my 3GS. Now I don't get annoying messages that my disk is running low telling me to delete videos n pictures. Good luck
