Default Battery Percentage on the iPod Touch 4?

I have an iPod Touch 4 and I want the battery percentage thingy. I went into every .plist in the Springboard.app folder and added the needed value, but I got nothing. What should I do? PS I don't want it through Winterboard.

There isn't there! A "Usage" field was supposed to be added and it's not!

I'm so pissed, WHY did they have to leave this out? Because of RAM, CPU? Oh wait - it's Apple.
