Enable Native Internet **Tethering** iOS 4.1 iPhone 3GS ?

I just had to get a new iPhone a few weeks ago and it came stocked with iOS 4.1. I tried to see if maybe I had some SHSH blobs saved in Cydia, but wasn't as lucky as others.

My iPhone used to have the ability to tether the internet to my laptop, but now it asks me to call ATT. I did and they said htat it would cost more $$$, as it is an additional feature.

Question I have is: Is there any other way to enable internet tethering for my phone?
