Create photo album in-phone?

Just curious if anyone knows of a fix or something that allows you to create albums within the Photos app without having to rely on an external computer for it.

To do it on a computer create a folder that you want to use as a sync folder. Inside that folder you can create sub-folders. Each of the sub-folders will show up as a separate album on the phone. Then in iTunes go to the photos tab and set the main folder you created as the folder to sync photos from. As for creating albums right on the phone, that you can't do.

Thanks I have a folder that I sync with, but no sub folders.. Will have to set that up

And I'll have a look around on my 3G, there must be something (hopefully a plist) somewhere that tells it how many folders there are and what they're named.. I'll get back to you if I find anything..

I'm very surprised that after all these years 1) apple hasn't offered this very basic feature and 2) there has been no jailbroken fix for this
