Cant disable multitasking?
Hi i need to disable multitasking on my iphone 4 as i now have multifl0w and it works ok. I have installed the disable multitasking from cydia and it still comes up. I have edited the plist file and it still comes up when i double click the home button. Any ideas?

If you set
Multitasking to false in the n82ap.plist in springboard.app then it automagicly puts the double tap home button back in settings and the MT **** won't disappear, it's much better than using the cydia mods as they use substrates meaning more ram usage
Ps I think the n82ap is called n99ap or something on the i4, but there's only three plists in springboard.app (one being an info prop list) so u should find it easily!

No if you change multitasking to false and RESPRING, the respring part is important, then the MT dock will not show up

I can't help you any further, I can't understand why that wouldn't work, the only thing I can suggest now would be to restore and try then.. The multitasking mods may have messed it up in some way..

Install Activator
Goto settings and Add something to do when you double tap on home-screen and in app
Did that work?

^that's not really fixing the problem lol, all of his apps will still background using apples method aswell as his backgrounder tool. I spose it will work but wouldn't really be ideal as he wouldnt be able to kill the apps...

i made a package that actually modifies the n88ap.plist file on the iphone4. well, it moves the stock file and replaces it with a modded file with multitasking=false. this is not a plugin. this turns mt off in the file system.
add http://mycarbl0ws.com/repo to cydia and install.

heres the 3g plist. remove the bit about multitasking all together or set it to false. /system/library/coreservices/springboard. a simple text editor should do it.
edit: forgot link. http://modmyi.com/forums/file-mods/707100-edited-multitasking-true-n82ap-plist-iphone-3g.html

All that you need to do, OP, is change the activator setting for multifl0w to open on doublepress home button. Not sure I see why anything more needs to be done.
