If you mess up & your iPhone is stuck with boot logo, read this

I just went through a scary experience, but I managed to fix it, so I wanted to share the fix I used in case there are other people who may think their only option is to restore, which can be a big pain if you have to re-do all your mods.

So, what happened to me is that I was doing the N82AP plist mod. My phone is 3G iOS4.1 JBed. (But, the fix, I think, will work on almost all iPhones). It was going well until I added HDR & camera zoom. After that, my iPhone would not boot. I saw others complaining the same thing in the forum I found the guide, so I think the poster made a mistake and the code was very likely wrong.

So, now to the fix. When I saw that my iPhone was stuck at the boot logo, I realized it was at least powered on, so out of desperation, I connected it to my PC and ran iFunBox. Guess what? It worked! iFunBox managed to get into my iPhone even though it had not made it into the iOS. If you try this, and if your iPhone does not show up on iFunBox, give it time as much as 5-10 minutes. In the F'ed up state, my iPhone tried to start and remained at boot logo, but it was not detectable for a long time. Then, all of sudden, it would show up on iFunBox.

Once you are in, just delete whatever file you modified and copy over a backup or original (you can find most in the DL section or google). Now you have your phone back without having to restore! I hope this is helpful to other people. If you find this info helpful, please click on thanks. Thanks!
