When your phone is at sleep, and you double click the home button, it brings up 'mini player'....the basic controls for the ipod.

Does anyone know where that call is made from in the OS? Thanks!

im hoping to make a program to allow that double click to be customized. i want a double click to bring up the 'favorites' list for making calls.

If you go to "Settings - General - Home Button" you can change it there.

You've only got three options (Home, Favorites & iPod) but I believe that's what you want.

EDIT - Sorry just noticed it still brings up the mini player when the phone's asleep despite what you set it to under Settings.

yeah i want to find out where that call is made from the software. hoping i can redirect it elsewhere. anyone have any hints where to look?

double tap while in sleep brings up the mini player every time.

double tap when ur just using it tho, is customizable

i want to know in what file is it written that the 'double click while sleep' event opens the mini player. if i know that, i can probably write something to allow that to be customized also. thats why i am in the OS development forum.

Here's how to get rid of the mini-player when double tapping the home button, even if the iPod is playing.

Go to Settings -> General -> Home Button -> and turn iPod controls off.

Now even if the iPod is on and playing, it will still either bring up your Phone Favorites or the Home screen.

I'm on a 1.1.3 FW iPhone.

nope, got it wrong

very simple.

you pull the phone from your pocket. it has a black screen. you double click 'home'. it starts the 'mini player'.

I want to know where in the code that mini player, on the "Slide to Unlock" screen resides. That way hopefully I can change the code to bring up the 'phone favorites'.
