Thread: adjusting volume limits FM1.0.2

  1. #21
I have done this. The volume on music and alerts seems louder but the volume for calls just doesn't seem to have changed at all. I'm thinking of trying a hardware mod of the speaker. Just taking one from another phone and switching them.

I don't notice any significant change....

    No real change here, either.

1.1.1 ironically addressed this problem beautifully. But I still prefer my modded-up 1.0.2.

  5. #25
well maybe if some one updates to 1.1.1 and gets the file or file specs and just uploads them it would help

this mod doesnt change a thing....if u notice.. change the plist file to 1.0 upload to the phone now make a phone call while in call lower the volume end the call... and redownload the plist to ur pc..open it up..and u will see ur 1.0 has changed to watever level u set with the volume rocker switch....sorry but nice try tho.

Hey...I just used a file that was listed here in this forum...changed everything to a "1" from the 0.827.... whatever it was and put it into my iPhone...

The original (com.apple.celestial.plist) file size was 296 bytes and the new file was 780 bytes...

Anyway, I repowered my iPhone and when I checked again, the original 296 byte (com.apple.celestial.plist) file was still there...so I uploaded it again...repowered...and now it stays...

One thing I noticed was that, there are two other files in the same directory was are also TIMESTAMP changed when you upload this com.apple.celestial.plist file...
    com.apple.mobilephone.plist
    com.apple.mobileipod.plist
although, I never went to those apps yet...(iPhone or iPod) and the TIMESTAMP is the same DATE but the TIME is exactly ONE hour ahead of the TIME that shows for com.apple.celestial.plist which is the exact time that I uploaded it.

I think there are other "Big Brother Apple"...things going on here and people should be careful on what they mess with...it could turn out to be a BRICKED audio or something...I don't trust Apple at all...

The higher volume is the only feature that 1.1.1. has that draws my attention, not that I'd lose everything for that...

I for one would be interested in a way to accomplish this without upgrading.
