Permission error adding sms tone

I'm trying to change a sms tone, I'm using Netatalk but It won't allow me to modify any files on my iPhone because I don't have permission? iPhone 3gs, 4.0.1 Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Delete the original first (back it up first) then drag in the new one to replace it then reboot. Dont try to overwrite.

I tried to delete it, but it wont let me do that either. It wont let me change any file in any way

Try a different program to access the file system like iphone explorer or disk aid.
