Default spotlight, heard it all before?

Ok so this might not work at all but I have absolutely had it with spitlight, so I decided to read through the springboard file in springboard.app and found a very interesting string
    T/system/library/privateframeworks/search.framework/search
I'm pretty sure this won't work, and will probably boot loop my phone but do you think I could remove the line? I tried removing the searchd file in the directory above but thar jus causes springboard to freeze when I swipe left...

probably not. It's pretty much hardwired into the firmware.

This isn't entirely about the.memory, I use a one page theme, have several folders and infinifolders, infinidock aswell, it keeps my apps organised, and looking good. The spotlight destroys the whole concept of this. Along with the fact one too many presses of the h button lands you there as well

To completely disable Spotlight, SSH into your phone and go to /System/Library/LaunchDaemons. Then rename the file called "com.apple.searchd.plist" to something like "com.apple.searchd.plist_BACKUP".

To prevent the spotlight screen from appearing install the new NoSpot app from Cydia.
