timestamps in sms app

so aside from installing a completely separate sms app like bitesms, is there any way to add timestamps to every message in the sms app? it seems kind of silly that no one has done it in all the years the iphone has been jailbroken.

I'm looking for a solution also..the only thing I can think of is to use delivery reports
