Using dpkg in mobile terminal was always fine for me, and I find SSH the easiest way to transfer files (particularly since it means I don't have to connect it to my PC, which means I can start a transfer/backup and leave it to complete while still using my phone to watch a movie or stream something without it interrupting anything).

To uninstall you type:
dpkg -r /folder/filename.deb
or you can load up cydia and it will be in the manage section even if you installed it from command line.Last edited by dieburnbot; 08-12-2010 at 10:24 PM.
