IOS4 modify plist?

Does it work on the iphone 4? I have tried to modify the sbbadgbg text and nothing happens. Can it be done?

the plist that comes with my theme. Thats how i used to do it on 3.x

Info.plist? Some things still do work on 4.0.

i cant get the text to be transparent.
