Making an .ipa file work

Hi,
Sorry if this is the wrong forum. Shapewriter is a free "swype-like" program out there for the iphone. They currenly have it unavailable on for the iphone because the company got bought out. I do have the ipa file but it tells me my computer is not authorized to use it. I have appsync installed, so it is ready to install a hacked ipa file. The question is, how do you go about doing it? I have an iphone 4 with iOS 4.0.1.
