How to add movies and music to my Ipod's library

I have an Ipod Touch 3G jailbroken with spirit. I am curious if there is anyway to use iFile to put songs I downloaded into my actual library. Same goes for movies. So when I click on my videos, it will show up there.

To make it easier, is there an app that can do this?

Also I know I can just sync everything through iTunes, but it seems like everytime I use iTunes I have to wait hours for everything to sync and be backedup. If I skip anything half my apps disappear. Thanks in advanced.

lol iTunes is hardly a good piece of software.. but as far as i know i dont think you can, the songs are numbered i think (not called the name of the song.) and i think if you stick a song in there which isnt named some numbers it wont recognize it.. there is PwnTunes which is similiar to iTunes but it costs.
