    Default N72AP.plist mod

    just thought i would post the link to a .plist which adds homescreen wallpaper, multitasking and the unified ipod app. just download and replace your n72ap.plist with this file in the system/library/coreservices/springboard.app, respring and then have all the mentioned features. always backup a file before you replace it!! this was modded for ipod touch 2g, not sure if this will work on ipod touch 3g!!
    this mod will give you freedom from all the cydia/rock tweaks that require winterboard, as winterboard is still buggy

    It's not.

    Redsn0w and sn0wbreeze do this for you. You could post a tutorial, but please do not upload protected Apple property list files.

    Haha yeah! Just go to the bottom of your plist and add this right above the last </dict>

    <key>include</key>
    <array>
    <string>(insert iPhone 4 plist #, I don't know them)</string>
    </array>

    No it is N72AP in iPod touches, and thanks for telling me this, the link has been removed. And I will change it into a guide of how to get the unified iPod without winterboard, as not even redsn0w or snowbreeze can do this

    Thank YOu!!! this is exactly what i need!!! Currently on a 2nd gen Touch JB with 4.0 (without Winterboard). I noticed the info.plist has the unifed ipod set to true but stills splits it to music/video. Will glady test your .plist file.

    Seeing as it is apparently illegal to post the plist files. I will add a link to the guide to make these changes yourself.

    iPod touch unified iPod app without stopping spotlight search

    All you need is iFile or a way to ssh into your iPod touch

    N72AP.plist - iPod Touch.
    N82AP.plist - 3G[S]iPhone.

    I hope it's not illegal to post the keys themselves....
    entering these in either .plists will work, I suggest entering them in the smaller .plist of the two.

    multitasking (for multitasking)
    unified-ipod (for iPod app)
    gas-gauge-battery (for battery percentage)
    homescreen-wallpaper (for wallpaper)

    find these keys in your devices' respective .plists and turn them on or off as you please.

    If you want the battery percentage from iPhones on your iPod, enter the gas-gauge-battery key in N72AP.plist;

    ** *<key>gas-gauge-battery</key>
    ** *<true/>

    If you want the ability to switch it on and off in the Settings app, you need to edit General.plist in Preferences.app. Replace the dependency with something your device already has.

    Find this section:

    ** * *<string>USAGE</string>
    ** * *<key>requiredCapabilities</key>
    ** * *<array>

    Under the last array, there will be a dependency. Change that section to:

    ** * *<string>USAGE</string>
    ** * *<key>requiredCapabilities</key>
    ** * *<array>
    ** * * *<string>gas-gauge-battery</string>
    ** * *</array>

    To split the iPod app into Music and Video, just find

    ** *<key>unified-ipod</key>
    ** *<true/>

    and set it to false.
