Unable to SSH with iPhone 4.0 (Connection closed by remote host)

I have an iPhone 3GS Old Bootrom running a custom 4.0 firmware from Pwnage tool. I use a Macbook Pro with Leopard.

Problem is i'm trying to SSH my iphone but when i try "ssh root@<my ip address>", the terminal returns "ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host"

I haven't been able to SSH into my phone ever since 4.0

Any help would b apreciated.

Do you have openssh installed and turned on?

Yes i do. I tried installing from both Rock and Cydia.
