iPhone 3GS HD video recording possible now?
Since iphone 4 has the ability to record HD videos in it's firmware files, I was wondering if the ability to record HD videos can be ported to 3GS too since it has the ability but its not enabled by default due to power consumption.

Nope.. it's a hardware upgrade that allows HD video.

According to ifixit, iPhone 3GS' hardware is capable of recording HD video at 30 FPS

If they did update the 3gs why would anyone want the 4. They won't enable hd recording cause then you would not buy the new phone. Just my opinion.

agreed, HD recording will never be enabled on the 3GS

Retina display has Is a totally different story, it's just like claiming u have 3G on an edge phone, or having Bluetooth 3.0 on a Bluetooth 2.0 device. However, iPhone 3GS has all the hardware that qualifies it to be able to record HD video, the same way video recording was enabled on 2g and 3G, also the same way Bluetooth p2p and mms were enabled on the 2g. Please make sure ur post makes sense before posting it.
