iPhone 3G 4.0 N82AP Plist

Here is the N82AP.plist that will enable multitasking, camera zoom, user wallpapers, and battery percentage. I use this same one on my 3G and it works perfectly. I figured not everyone would want to write there own, so Enjoy!

This file should be coped to the /system/library/coreservices/springboard.app

Do u have to be on 4.0?

if you arent on 4.0, i would recommend deleting the user-wallpaper, and multitasking boolean values.

I belive the latest redsnow does this automatically since mine has these all enabled.

when i did it the day the GM was released, redsn0w didnt patch the plist file.

Is 4.0 safe for 3gen touch yet? I want to upgrade just not shure if all the bugs have been worked out

yes, if you can find the ipsw on the internet, you can safely flash provided you have iTunes 9.2. It was just released out of beta for both OSX and Windows. Unfortunatly, we cant give out links to the ipsws because its software piracy. :-/ but if you just happen to find it on the internet (trust me its not hard), you can flash no problems. also, because you have a 3rd gen touch, you dont need to modify the plist to enable these features, they come built in for you.

how can i get to the /system etc on windows?

cant jb on windows right now and iphone explorer doesnt show /system?

you have to jailbreak. you cannot access the file system of the phone (other than the DCIM) without jailbreaking.

this plist is no longer necessary. bc you can only copy this over if your jailbroken...and if you jailbreak your i device redsnow enables multitasking and wallpaper for you. just saying

Another feature that s not available on the iPhone 3g is the rotation of images. Is anyone able to tweak the file referenced of the topic to enable the rotation of images. And I don't mean rotation of the image to view it but permanent rotation just like when rotating an image on a computer

will this work on 3.1.2 or does it have to be 4.0? cuz i dont want to jailbreak just yet.
