Hey guys, I was wondering if there is some way to turn the backlight totally off but keep the screen on like in normal iPod Classic/Nano. I tried editing brightness.plist

    im sorry i cant help i just want to ask why it is you want to? when i had a classic it used to be so annoying not being able to see the screen on a sunny day, i take it you're looking to save battery life or something?

    itd save battery life, but the lowest brightness setting seems reasonable. otherwise you wont see it unless its pitch black.
