Manually Installing .app Files

Ok, so I've been experiencing a few minor hassles with my jailbreak the last couple months, and I was considering restoring to un-jailbroken FW, but then I remembered all of the tweaks I used so much. I was going through my files with iphone explorer, and I noticed all of the .app files had everything bundled together. So I thought, what if I could un-jailbreak but keep certain jailbroken apps and tweaks? My idea is to copy the .app files from the ipod, restore, go in with iphone explorer, and paste the files back in. This way I could keep dTunes and safari DL plugin and stuff like that, but really be unjailbroken. Has anyone had any experience with this, or know if it would work?

wouldnt work.
u cant get to ur root folder if its not jailbroken

and most things that are .app depend on more things

but what about iphone explorer? couldn't that get into it?

nope u cant get into ur iphone files without it being jailbroken no matter which explorer u use
