"The iPad is Announced / DO NOT UPDATE to 3.1.3 yet!"
Now that we're [hopefully] past that, downgrade to 3.1.2 and read (oh the thought) the following thread:
T-Mobile USA Carrier Bundles: Bluetooth, Data/Internet, MMS, & Tethering (2G/3G/3GS)
If you're not with T-Mobile, just install the patch.
You crazy fool you.

My brother got same problem as you. When he accidentally update his phone. He drags me to find solution to fix his problem. Now this site helps him, and most of iPhone user faces problem when 3.1.3 update releases. You can actually turn off you iTunes update on preferences if you like to avoid any problem.

always wondered why you can't share the WiFi connection of the iPhone, just like you can share EDGE/3G connection.
At first, it may look useless, but there are circumstances when it may be quite useful. For instance, if:
You don't have a wireless card on your computer...
... or you have a broken wireless card on your computer...
... or you have a good wireless card, but you don't have any drivers...
... and you have an iPhone and a WiFi-only connection...
... and you're not satisfied with SSH tunneling/SOCKS proxy...
... and you really want to buy a legal copy of Snow Leopard, instead of forking all that money (or even more) for that functionality.
I know, there are a few apps out there that can do that. But I was always baffled by their prices. For god's sake, $29 is the price for a Snow Leopard DVD. Besides, I really abhor system-wide hooks (you know what those are), because -- if abused -- they may bring your entire system to its knees.
So, I tried to extend the native functionality (misd) for iPhone 2G/3G/3Gs and have it share your WiFi connection.

I installed the ActivateMMS for 2g 3.1.3 firmware and now got the option to send MMS. The only trouble is that it won't send. It tries but doesn't make it...
I'm using biteSMS by the way, if that matters?
Maybe there are some settings I need to edit, but I don't know where to find these settings?
EDIT1: found the settings, but I'm still not able to send
EDIT2: just found out that I'm able to receive MMS, but not send...Last edited by iZenox; 06-30-2010 at 06:04 AM.

I am running 3.1.3 on a 2g that is unlocked and jailbroken with redsnow. I tried with both 1020 and 1023 and neither gave me mms. It did give me tethering but all I actually want is the mms. Any ideas why I'm not getting it?
