    Default Changing Red Badge Color

    Hi

    I have a jailbroken 2G iphone on FW 3.1.2

I have managed to change the SB Badge to Blue by modifing the file SBBadgeBG.png located at:

    /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/

    See Attch1

However, when I go to the phone app, or app store, etc. the badge is still red.

    See Attch2, and Attach3

Does anyone know the location of the file to changed the color of these badges ?

    Thanks in advance, DJKalz

I'm running a theme on my device, so the directories might be a little different from yours, but these will be found under UIimages, specifically "UIButtonBadge", "UIButtonBadgeOn" & "UIButtonBadgeOff".....

    Figured it out (FOR WINDOWS)

    1. conect to iphone via SSH

    2. go to: /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework and download the file 'Other.artwork' to your computer

    3. go to: iPhoneShop 3.0 (import/export artwork files 3.0)

for instuction on how to extract the .artwork files (you will need to download iPhoneShop-3.0.zip, link in the first message, and make sure you have the latest Java installed.

    4. Once extracted edit the png files you need to, in this case it was the UIButtonBarBadge.png file

    5. Run the Import .bat, iPhoneShop-3.0 will create the new 'Other.artwork' file in the same folder as the pngs are in

    6. Put the new 'Other.artwork' back on the iphone

    All done !!!!!!!!!

Yeah, if you follow the link:

    http://modmyi.com/forums/skinning-th...les-3-0-a.html

you can download the new version, which works for 3.1.2

Look at the first message on the link.

    Good Luck !!!

I've tried it but it never worked. I thought it was because I'm on 3.1.2 but maybe it just doesn't like me.
