Default Need some help finding information on MMS for iPhone 2g
I recently lost my iPhone 2g 3.0 with MMS working perfectly fine. I now have another 2g which I got for a good deal. Unfortunately, ACTIVATE2GMMS is not available on CYDIA no more.

Will someone please guide me in the direction in which I'll be able to get MMS once again.

I've searched and read about NATIVE 2g MMS app but there have been a lot of unsuccessful posts.

The ****** iphone repo isn't allowed here AFAIK (being that they promote piracy).

Not to mention that their MMS enabler will cause severe battery drainage.

For 2G iPhone users, you can simply follow the steps in the following thread to enable Bluetooth (A2DP et. al), MMS (not battery issues!), and tethering.

    Of course it can.

Just install whatever hack/patch applies to your phone (2G in your case) and then install AT&T's official carrier bundle.

Alternatively, you could install Stealth Bravo's AT&T carrier bundle.

they may distribute illegal works, BUT its the simplest way to get the job done. and you cant argue with that. and yes, it works on ATT. I used their tethering hack on my 3G and i used their MMS for my friends 2G on T-Mobile....worked like a charm! with no battery issues *shrugs*

thanks man. I've just read a few places that AT&T won't allow you to send an MMS if you don't call them and have it activated

If you think that requiring the user to install "dependencies," such as custom icons and a broken carrier bundle as the "simplest way to get the job done," then the more power to you.

That's 1 out of 84914327413201650461320 users without 2G MMS battery issues.

Ah so you agree, then end of discussion.

I also suggest you edit/remove your [repo] link.

    No problem.

Yes, I believe you have to call them up and ask them to "enable WAP push."

well in order to get tethering you HAVE to install a 'hacked' carrier bundle. and dependencies? umm you add a source and install one package... but to each his own. that post has been up for over a two weeks and the admins havent taken it down.

if you have a 2G, you have to call ATT and enable mms on your account.

    apn: wap.cingular
    mmsc:http://mmsc.cingular.com
    mms proxy: wireless.cingular.com:80
    mms max message size: 614400
