Default Pandora or 3rd Party Apps Headphone Control
I was wondering if there is a way to use the headphones to control playback through Pandora or other apps.

Look for Music Controls by Phoenix3200 on Cydia.

So you're saying that music controls app will allow me to pause, resume, and skip tracks with pandora?

Why don't you look at the description of the app posted before asking this question?

The "description of the app" says virtually nothing about using the headset to control the music app, which is what the OP was asking about. This is the description I'm seeing on Cydia right now:

New! Lockscreen Swipe Controls! Swipe or tap on the date bar or album artwork to pause and skip songs!

Multitask while listening to your favorite music application!

Control your favorite music programs directly from the lockscreen, using popup controls, or even with controls built right into the statusbar!
The only indication I can see about using the headphone controls is at the very bottom where it says "The non-expiring demo ... does not include statusbar, headset, or dock controls."

Not exactly as obvious as you're trying to make it out to seem.

EDIT: After trying the trial for myself, I can confirm that Music Controls does allow you to control Pandora with the headset, including Play/Pause and Next (obviously not Previous or seeking due to the way Pandora works). Can't find any sort of formal documentation for the project, other than a few random posts on message boards. Still useful though.
