[Project] Voice Control for iPhone 2G/3G

I used a hex editor on one file to change it for the 3g processor.

It is not enough to change the type of processor, it uses a lot of arm9 instructions that only 3GS can execute.

but the last time I tried to get it to work SpringBoard didn't crash when I added accessibility in M68AP and it showed up in settings. What's different this time?

no. i added the following lines:

Even if I just add accessibility only it crashes. I had to use redsn0w just to get the wifi to latch onto winscp and somehow it upgraded me to 3.1.3 even though i pointed it to 3.1.2 :-/

Yep...with the exception of SprinBoarderServices file because I could not find it. But that was the same the last time I tried to do this.

i can't find any SprinBoarderServices file in the VC downloads...
don't try accsessibility better... You booted fine because of a glitch in iPhone OS.

after jb-ing and able to winscp the old M68AP back, iphone would say that it was exiting safe mode because sprinboard crashed

Okay... i restored 3.1.2.... did redsn0w jailbreak. downgraded the baseband. reinstalled the nike and camera auto-focus mods. copied over the M68AP file with the voice control and accessibility enabled and they showed up in the settings. iphone was running smoothly. then i copied all the voice control files to the respective folders and springboard is crashing and cannot even connect to it to transfer the old M68AP file. Why why why does it lock up when I copy the files over? Could I possibly be copying them into the wrong directories?

I figured out why I was crashing. Turns out the file that I edited for Arm6 was the cause. I reverted back to Arm9 and my phone doesn't crash anymore. Problem now is that I have Accessibility and Voice Control in my settings but nothing shows up there. I also don't have any indication that the VoiceControl App is there or that I can change the home button. Any ideas?

Not sure why this is happening now, but when I'm on a call and I take the phone away from my ear, it automatically switches to speaker phone and then switches back when I put it back to my ear. I'm not complaining...definitely like the feature.

I also noticed that the N88AP file has thumb2 set to false. What happens if I change it to thumb1 true?
