Hi I have a problem and need help. My iPhone 3GS crashed on 3.1 boot cycle tried to restore in normal restore mode and dfu changed to new iTunes disabled firewall and anti virus and account changes USB basically everything I can think of. Now looking at update logs when I get an error 9 message it says device_map.txt file is missing. What I want to know is there anyway I can upload this file to dfu mode or restore mode. Or can I upload an Ipsw via USB without iTunes or flash the bootrom or anything that will bring my phone to life please help

Stuck in recovery loop.

I've trawled the net trying to find a solution and haven't been able to... I've been without my iPhone for a couple of weeks and it's KILLING ME.

I can't get iRecovery to work.

Anyone had any luck with this?

i fear my phone is dead, 3 mo old, cant bring it to a store cuz of the JB...
