As the title says, I'm looking to make my iPhone 3GS "look" like it's running 3.1 when in all actuality it's running 3.0. I want to do this due to the fact that some of the newer apps require 3.1 to run and since there isn't a jailbreak for the 3GS yet, I don't want to upgrade my firmware.

I'm not even 100% sure this would fix the problem, but I figured it's worth a shot. I remember doing this for something on my original iPhone a couple years ago but I can't remember how it was done.

Any help would be great, thanks...

There was an app in Cydia called 'FWChanger' that did exactly that.
Idk if it still works or not.
I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something
