moving downloaded videos to camera roll?
anyone know if it's possible to move or edit a file to make videos I download with yourtube, show up up in the camera roll? I'd like to trim them so I can make videotones out of them.

I just use iFile to move/copy the .mp4 video file from /private/var/mobile/Media/Downloads/YourTube/
to /private/var/mobile/Media/DCIM/100APPLE/
the file must also be renamed to IMG_####.MOV where #### is a four digit number

as iBram said.
use my VideoMover Toggle for SBSettings. The first one can be found in the repo.beyouriphone.com.
but i have improved it and now it supports:
mov, mp4 and m4v videos
from Cycorder, iphonevideorecorder3g, YourTube, SafariDownloadPlugin, ...
I postet it at xsellize-forum but here's my rapidshare link.

It is not important if the toggle is on or off. just tap it once and all movies are in the CameraRoll Folder where you can edit it, sync and copy and paste it into your Mails.app. If you use SwirlyMMS you can MMS them also.
VIDEO MOVER
moves your Videos from
-YourTube
-Cycorder
-iphonevideorecorder3g
into the Apple Folder
HOW TO USE
Toggle in SbSetting on or of to move Videos
INSTALLATION
1) Copy Folder to /tmp/
2) In the command line type "bash /tmp/VideoMover/install"
in MobileTerminal dont forget "su" and "alpine"
UNINSTALL
1) Copy the folder to your iPhones /tmp directory
2) In the command line type "bash /tmp/VideoMover/uninstall"
in MobileTerminal dont forget "su" and "alpine"

it SHOULD work with 3GS on 3.0 because the firmware had the video editing features on the new iphone before 3.1. But never tested it.
But there's no danger to try it because it changes nothing to the system files.
On 3G on 3.0 the toggle itself works but the firmware doesn't support videos in the camera roll

Can this be made to work on 3.0 on a 2G?
Thanks
