New text alert sound?

Hi there,

I SSH into phone, copied my newly created .caf over the old one (backed up old one first), but there is no sound at all now. BTW, I converted .mps to .aiff first. Any suggestions? Many thanks!

hmm you sure you named it correctly and all did you try rebooting your phone and then trying? normaly when you change a file you ahve to reboot before it takes effect.

Check the length if the new sound. On 2.x you could get away with about 30 secs. Never tried on 3.x, but read it's much less (3-5 sec)
