    Default SMS Landscape only?
Is there a way I can modify the info.plist for MobileSMS to make it open in landscape mode? I know this code does, but the status bar still loads in portrait, covering the side of the app...

    <key>UIInterfaceOrientation</key>
    <string>UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight</string>

It'll load like this. The status bar stays in portrait.

I havn't tried (can't do it currently) but @remz: could it be that you tilt your phone into landscape mode right after you tapped the messages-icon ... I will try it myself as soon as I can.

if it was the 3gs it would be a single person we are both having the problem. Anyways and no hold it like that right after you tap it doesn't work. I'm looking at the framework right now and was pulling apart Irealsms which has that option but as of right now they have the same code as us.

Okay when iRealsms has landscape only it changes the info.plist in MessageUI.framework with the same code and also changes the info.plist in its own application. Which makes it not turn. I tried this with the native app still got that taskbar in the way.

I'm going to keep pulling apart code so i will have doubleposts.

    I Got it!

Okay so heres what you do.
    /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Message.framework
    /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ChatKit.framework
    /Applications/MobileSMS.app

    info.plist

    <key>UIInterfaceOrientation</key>
    <string>UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight</string>
Respring, Your status bar start in the right side of the screen when it loads it stays in landscape let me know how this works for everyone.

take this back, I ran in to the problem that It starts up in landscape but it takes a second or two longer and then if you tilt it, it goes back to landscape so this doesn't keep it in landscape. any ideas?
