I changed the SMSBackground.png file in my theme, but when I turn the phone sidways during a text, the background only fills 2/3 of the screen the rest is the default apple grey. I have tried resizing the file to the size the of the original SMSBackground.png but still no luck. any ideas?

try 480 x 720 that worked for me... anything less will show white background....good luck

480 x 480 will work also 480 x 375

are you able to change the image size with ifile? If so explain please, thanks. 

I used picture editting software (photoshop)to resize the images. Then used iphonebrowser to drag the files on to the phone. I have no experince resizing images on the iphone itself, but i doubt it is possible.
