As Stealth said, did you run the script or did you manually delete the language files?

Did you also reboot the phone BEFORE and AFTER to compare the results?

On a side note, you have a 3GS. You might not notice a dramatic speed up but I'm sure us 2G/3G users will.
Sorry...when I said noticeable, I was expecting 20-30 meg more.

I'm sure I got a few meg out of it...had to of.

edit: how the f do i turn off the stupid pop up for facebook... yeah im dumb and it locks up my computer and/or doesnt post b/c of that and im pulling my hair out trying to figure out where and why i did that.

Hey guys just wanted to report my findings! I'm using a 3GS on 3.0.1!

Ok so i deleted most of the "safe to delete" deamons from the guide then rebooted, before reboot 159mb free ram after reboot 161mb free ram! This wasn't enough of course lol so i then decided to delete Every language pack in the phone other than english/en using ifile, it took me over an hour and trust me if there was a lproj that wasn't english on this phone AnyWhere, theres not now! Free ram after several reboots still 161mb!

Then after realising this isn't that effective on a 3GS (unless you delete system heavy processes that will in turn fudge your phone up and defeat the object of having it in the first place) i deleted the modded "launch daemons" folder and restored the original (backup) rebooted and guess how much free ram i had now... 164mb

I'm not saying this doesn't work or it does i'm just reporting my findings on a 3GS... Hope it helps

Matt

Doesn't really boost up the RAM amount, but it does make it a lot snappier.

I finally tried it on my iPhone!
It doesnt show a HUGE increase BUT it definetly makes it run smoother.
I deleted some of those daemons (mixed, safe and unsafe) and ran the language script.

Looks like I'll be bookmarking this post for future use.
