HELP! Battery keeps draining...

Iphone 3g OS 3 jailbroken.. Have Fringe and Nimbuzz and I enabled notifications for alerts, sounds, etc. And now the notifications shows under the carrier in Settings. But the problem is my battery keeps draining after that. CAn anyone hlep me get rid of that notifications or solution to it..
