Remove Battery Image from Status Bar
On my 2G 3.0 I'm using SBSettings and prefer to have the percentage of battery life versus the actual battery image. Does someone know how to kill the battery image or is there a location where I can delete the image files? I don't care about the battery image at all, not even to see the charging. The status bar doesn't need to have both displayed. Anyone know a fix for this? FW 2.2 didn't have this issue, it would just replace the image with the percentage.
Thanks

I agree that we don't need both the image and % there, and would be good to reclaim the space for other purposes. Not just making it blank, but to move everything else to the right and use the space.

You can make a theme with transparent battery files, the problem is there is still going to be an "invisible" battery there so the space will be taken up regardless.. you won't see it though if it's what you want.

I've seen screenies of people who seem to have replaced their entire battery with a percentage display. I assume they didn't just replace the different battery images with a static number, but I s'pose that's all you can do. I have yet to find a way to actually remove the icon, not just make it invisible.

Yeah I have the same problem...
Seems pretty easy, because on my "old" 2G before the 3.0 update, you could switch from percent to the battery image with a touch.
We certainly do not need both!
Make it how it wasss!

Just posted this on another thread,
but search Cydia for 'Battery Control' Once you install it, the option will be in your settings menu if you scrole down. Works for me, now I have room for my weather icon, BT and status notifier without it jamming into the time.
Another great APP for FREE!

This is why I break out in cold sweat going to Apple retail store.
