Location of Voice mail indicator "red dot"
Hi I am a bit new to this board so sorry for any forum sins i may commit...
So, I want to customize the voice mail indication dot and can't seem to find the .png (or so I think would be a .png) in the file system?
I am on a 2G iPhone, 3.0, using cyber duck to search.
thanks..

That was fast, thanks
If i just delete them, will they just show up as a number, in oppose to a number on a red dot?

To be honest, not sure. Never tried it.
Why don't you just leave the files there and just rename them to like SBBadgeBGbac.png and that way if it's a problem you can easily find them and rename again to stock. Here are a clear set if it doesn't work.
com.apple.springboard.rar

That is a great idea...
The "Theme" file you mention, is that in the "library" or somewhere in private/root..?
the directory is:
root/Library/Themes/****/bundles/com.apple.springboard
The **** representing the name of the theme you are trying to apply these changes to.
Hope that helps.

Hmm, i found it and modded it, as well as working.
but, i fond it in an entirely different location?
System/Library/CoreService/SpringBoard.app/SBBadgeBG.png
I wonder why it is in a different location than yours?
because you're modding the actual iPhone system files rather than the files within a theme.

^ true. Perhaps better to modify within the theme, easier to change next time but really doesn't matter.
the theme i have didn't have the anything but some .png files in the bundle folder.
I am wondering if i was even looking in the right Themes folder.
Here is where i was looking, and what is in that file.
/private/var/stash/Themes.E4mqF7/MGS4Theme/Bundles/com.apple.TelephonyUI/ )and some .png files)

huh, perhaps the theme your using didn't have a badge, and it is the stock one you are seeing. Anyway, if you add them to either locations given above they will work.
