    Default adding another language font

    Hi all,

I have been all over the internet looking for an answer to how to add another language to the iphone (3G 8GB 3.0) and have come up with some answers, but none that let me display correctly.

I have downloaded the font I want to use (NuosuSIL) a minority language from Southwest China. It can be found here:

    http://scripts.sil.org/cms/SCRIPTs/r...suSIL2.1.1.zip

I used Cyberduck to uploaded it to

    /System/Library/Fonts/Cache/NuosuSIL.ttf

    and edited the

    /System/Library/Fonts/CGFontCache.plist

to include a new name and traitmapping, and restarted my iphone... but the fonts still do not display correctly.

I use [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yi_script]Yi script - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] as my test page in Safari and look at the chart of syllables under the "Modern Yi" heading. It will display on my mac (of course) but not on my iphone.

Can anybody help me out? I would really appreciate this!
