iPhone 3G S Winterboard release [manual install]
Winterbaord and MobileSubstrate fix has been released.
http://apt.saurik.com/debs/winterboa...honeos-arm.deb
http://apt.saurik.com/debs/mobilesub...honeos-arm.deb
DOWNLOAD THOSE 2 FILES
Being they havent been pushed to Cydia yet, you guys are going to have to install these yourselves.. MANUALY !
Start off by SSHing these 2 files into your iPhones TMP directory.
Then open MobileTerminal and type su hit enter. (this is for superuser privileges)
Then type dpkg -i /tmp/mobilesubstrate_0.9.2957-1_iphoneos-arm.deb hit enter.
IMPORTANT-do MobileSubstrate FIRST then winterboard
Then type dpkg -i /tmp/winterboard_0.9.2957-1_iphoneos-arm.deb
Do this for both files then simply RESTART your Iphones. Enjoy.
Thanks Saurik for the awesome job.
You can rename the files to 1.deb and 2.deb to make less typing in MobileTerminal

fantastic. This CRASHED my phone- now stuck on boot logo. Great. Thanks.
and before you say it- NO, I did it correctly. Maybe fellow members should wait for the official release
If anyone hasd a fix for this it would be much appreciated
OK for anyone else having problems, I have worked out a solution.
1. SSH into your phone and save the following if you have them:
Categories
Winterboard
Themes
2. Now, delete Categories- we will put it on later. Delete the folder "categories.app from your Applications folder.
3. Now delete Winterboard (we will put it back on later)
4. Now all your previously categorised icons will appear.
Now, if you dont have it, download mobile terminal.
5. Run through the above processes from the first post, remember you need to do the MOBILE SUBSTRATE file first.
6. DO NOT REBOOT your PHONE.
Now SSH back into your phone and drop Winterboard and your themes back into their places.
7. Now go to Cydia or Rock (Rock is quicker) and go to "manage"
Now REINSTALL 9Don't update, just reinstall) Winterboard and Mobile Substrate.
BUT DO Mobile Substrate first !!!!
Choose to "reboot on exit"
Now, get out of Cydia or Rock and it will respring.
Voila ! All your stuff is back in one piece.
All you need to do now is drop your Categories folder into the Applications folder on your phone and it's done and done...your icons may be out of order and spread out over a few pages, but hey, put them back in your choisen locations on your home screen and its done and done.
Phew, almost had a heart attack.Last edited by iTone; 06-27-2010 at 01:40 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
