Ive searched and am unable to find a definite solution to the disappearing APN settings

Im Editing it through Settings/General/Network/Cellular Data Network

All fields are Editable. I havnt looked at the plist file (didnt think I would have too)
If thats the only way, where do I find the plist file, and what needs to be changed under O2 carrier?

Try this:

Open in safari:

.mobilconfig Generator by iPhone-notes.de

Edit you APN settings, download, install and reboot the phone.

After that the settings will be save, you can edit them if it is necesary.

Sorry for my poor english.

Ive set up MMS on my 2g running firmware 3.0 Im using Orange PAYG in the uk and both APN just say orangemms, no usernames or passwords. If i try to put in user and passwords they dont save but it seems they are not needed for this crack
