So, it's a little earlier than 10. I hope you guys don't get upset cause I lied.
This walkthrough is for AT&T PAYG and hopefully it works for you contract guys, and gals.
If you have this installed:

uninstall it completely or you will never have mms on your iphone 2g.
reboot your iphone, not respring.
follow theses instructions for updating ipcc on 2g
Random Critic How To Upgrade ipcc to IPhone
Ok, i know that took a little while, but great job you're getting there.
Go into Cydia and search for ActivateMMS2g then install it.
it will give you the option to reboot. press it, but don't trust it. manual reboot again just to be safe.
after reboot make sure you're settings are there. So go into Settings and make sure they look like this:
Settings>>messages and turn on MMS Messaging
now, settings>>general>>network
Don't try to enter the data into Cellular Data Settings, they won't save.
on your iPhone go to help.benm.at and do this:
press "create"
Now use these settings. I got them straight from the horses mouth: AT&T.
APN: wap.cingular
leave username and password blank
FYI: Fill out Mobile Internet and Visual Voicemail
MAKE SURE ENABLE TETHERING IS SET TO ON!
NOW GENERATE AND INSTALL!
once it is installed, reboot baby! don't even exit safari just do a hard reboot.
after reboot go into settings>>general>>network>>cellular data network it should somthing like this under the MMS Section. BTW Mobile Internet, Visual Voice mail, and MMS should have the same APN: wap.cingular

if MMSC and MMS Proxy aren't filled out, fill them out now.
MMS UA Prof URL:
http://www.apple.com/mms/uaprof.rdf
reboot. don't even hit the home button, just reboot after you fill it out.
After reboot go back to Cellular Data settings and make sure the settings stuck.
Most of you should be able to send/receive MMS now.
Pay As You Go! follow these exact instructions:
If you have PAYG, you cannot send MMS unless you're on Pick Your Plan.
Call AT&T make sure they have you're IMEI matched to you SIM on you're account. That was my problem earlier today and yesterday.
While you're on the phone with AT&T they will send you this MMS. Don't expect it right away. It took...about 4 or 5 hours for me to receive it.
My finacee was at work, so i called her and told her to send me the pic i sent to her.
Thank me if works! Let me know if it doesn't, or if you get confused somewhere.
