have been told by O2 that as i am pay as you go Iphone 2G user MMS cannot be added to my account "there is no way to do this". Looks like i have to put up with the text directing me to the website.
I told them about using another handset and they told me to send MMS to 1010 from that handset; which i did and got a reply stating that i was using Iphone 2g even though the sim was in another handset - Samsung

does anyone have iblacklist installed as i think they may conflict with one another. If I turn i blacklist off in sbs settings my sent mms send no problem with it turned on it crashes.

I think o2 are disabling this as i had it working before with swirly when i was on 2.2 firmware. Once i sent a message to 1010 i now get teh website as they set it up for me as a 2g owner there must be a way to reset it i think.

Ok, fals alrm with me peeps. I'm on US T-mobile and am able to get the picture messaging icon in my messaging app, but am not able to send/recieve mms. I can send a message to myself but when I send it to another phone, the other phone never recieves it. I don't get any type of message on my phone after it's "Sent".

I am on T-mobile USA.

I can confirm mss is working, both sending and receiving, and the internet has continued to work on wap.voicestream.com. I used the cydia package and updated carrier settings.

NOTE: The mss settings in messages will ONLY show after you've input the mss apn settings as stated by an earlier post.

P.S. This mms business should show apple not to insult the intelligence of its user base by stating mms would not work on the iphone 2g.

Someone asked about iBlacklist. I have MMS working fine. blacklist is installed however, I installed it AFTER the patch...and now I am finding that it will NOT save numbers in the blacklist at all.

May I ask why it says it?

Tmobile users having issues sending, what network is the phone you are sending to on? Does your plan include picture messaging? More details please.

I just changed my APN to wap.voicestream.com, it's interesting to see that T-Mobile seems to have opened all port via that APN (before they blocked the hell out of everything, hence the reason for the proxy hack).

Anyway, I sent an MMS to myself and it sent fine (without the 5 minute lag some are reporting) and promptly received it (of course, the image was scaled down).

Working Steps (T-Mobile USA):

1) Install the hack via Cydia (Reboot)
2) Settings -> General -> Network -> Cellular Data Network and tap Reset Settings
3) Reboot
4) Settings -> General -> Network -> Cellular Data Network and input wap.voicestream.com for both APNs and use these settings:

MMS APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username: [Leave blank]
Password: [Leave blank]
MMSC: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Proxy: 216.155.165.050:8080
MMS Max Message Size: [I left it blank]
MMS UA Prof URL: [I left it blank for now]

5) Reboot
6) Settings -> Messages and check that MMS Messaging is on.

You should now be able to send picture messages. No need for the carrier update.

Here is another T-Mobile USA MMS settings:

[MMS] APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username: [Leave blank]
Password: [Leave blank]
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080

As I said in a previous post I have got everything apparently set up correctly but cannot get the APN settings to all stick.

I am on Orange UK which includes MMS all be it at 30p a post...

I can now receive MMS no problem and the resolution is fine.

Suggestion have been made that the Cellular data APN must match the MMS APN in order to make the settings stick - in the case of Orange the Cellular APN is 'orangeinternet' and the MMS APN settings is given as:
APN: orangemms
Username: Orange
Password: Multimedia
MMSC: http://mms.orange.co.uk
MMS Proxy: 192.168.224.10:8080
MMS Max Message Size: <blank>
MMS UA Prof URL: <blank>

So they obviously cannot match

Downloaded profile config which reset all my settings - MMS worked 1st time but killed my Cellular settings so had no Internet useage.

Simply changed the Cellular APN back to Orangeinternet and the rest of the settings seem to have stuck.
