If you don't know the answer to this you really shouldn't be adding random files to your phone.

You have to restore.

update: guys sry as i wont have much time 2 wrk on this as i do have classes and the only time i get 2 wrk on it is in between.....and im officially taking the day off 2day though (my bday lol

Yes i am still trying to work hard but i am also trapped by school i dont have any HW today well i dont think so i will have to check online to make sure but other then that ill be working for the next 2-3 hours

Anyway to get videos from Cycorder to appear in the photo's app for 3.1? Like a mini version of the Video Toggle Switch from 3.0?

Hi all,

Today i updated my iPhone 2g to 3.1 with custom ipsw. I copied a video (.mov) file recorded with iPhone Video Recorder 3.0 to DCIM/100APPLE folder. Just renamed the video file as CAM_xxxx.mov (xxxx can be 0001, 0002 and so on)
I can edit/trim the videos without any problem directly from Photos app. Haven't changed or installed any other settings like video toggle or anything. Noticed after saving a copy of trimmed video, the new file that was saved had filename IMG_0164.MOV.

Is there any way to directly save videos recorded in iPhone video recorder to the above said folder with filename as mentioned?

So ginc does the shutter open when you upload a video to DCIM/100APPLE ?? or does it open but you cant see the video record icon ?

It is just editting... Not taking videos...
And yes the shutter opens, and you can take foto's.

Smart uploading a video must activate a string in s plist somewhere but there is no video huh ? well now i have got a few ideas with the 3.1 software already by using this method but i do not want to update as the tethering hack apparently doesn't work can anyone here confirm that the tethering hack doesn't work or does work (would be most appreciated) ??? as then i will be able to continue this work over the weekend on 3.1 as i have some ideas about editing the N82 plist on 3.1 to activate video recording without the video edit toggle it may work.

Oh sweet... Another question, is Redsnow comming out with a jailbreak? I know theres one out by pwnage tool.. but redsnow is so much easier for stupid people like me lol!

so the only thing new i noticed in the M68 plist for iPhone 3G 3.1 is the value: armv6:true and marketing-name:iPhone. The N82 only has peer-peer:true and also marketing-name:iPhone

Their must be some use of the armv6 in there...?

if u want u can decrypt it also <keys are finally posted> using vfdecrypt

Hummm.. with the armv6:true that enable us to patch up some of the plists to enable it but those plists and uploading a video to DCIM and enabling editing without a hack is the way forward, i think.

^Yep got a 3GS (non-jailbroken) but not allowed to play with it and jailbreak it as its on a contract with o2 on business but my 3G is all mine. Bad Times (N) Would love to JB it though
