He said he needs to re jailbreak his iPod when 3.1 jb is out then he will get the vc files running and make a video after this is done. He's not a fake and will get us these features in some form soon!!

I tried it on an iphone 3G (i'm on 3.1, and send myself a movie with Diskaid) and i can edit and watch movies!!! Camera app works!!!! Just the thumbnail doesn't work!!!!! So if there is a jailbreak for 3.1 you can use camera, cycorder and edit and wach your videos in foto app!!!!

What file formats do the files have to be to edit. Mpg 3gp mov.

I used a .MOV file, a havn't tried it with other files... In what for format cycorder and iphonevideorecorder give them??? So i can try it.

I emailed myself a 2mb .mov file and i dont get the save option but i sent myself a 3gp file and i got the save option and thats only 586 KB.

Also can you send the videos to youtube, mobile me , mms and email again.

It doesn't work with email. You must set a movie in de DCIM directory with Iphone Explorer for example...
And you can't send them to Youtube or anything else.

It's in 3.1 so you havn't to enable anything...

1. Update to 3.1
2. Download iphone explorer (iPhone Explorer - A USB iPhone browser for Mac and PC)
3. Upload a video to your DCIM directory
4. Open photo app
5. open the video
6. edit it...

And if the jailbreak is possible you can make videos with cycorder and iphonevideorecorder and edit them and use the camera too... Without a toggle or anything...

you ll still need the toggle so you can move the files to dcim. plus you can't upload them to youtube without having the toggle on. i have 3.1 beta 3 jailbroken.
