Enable Video Recording on 2G/3G?

we still dont have a solution..we need a mobilesubstrate plugin called up only when the camera api is called.can you tell us how to open the shutter on our 3Gs and how to edit the processor type to say ARMv6. We do have editing enabled, but need the encoders ported. and for voice control we need you to go ahead and find the com.apple.voiceover.enabled.launchd file in your 3GS from what i'm told its only availible when voice control is launched. So plz get ahold of that file.. Thanks!

yes but maby the file is unhidden or is made when the voice control is enabled to we have to enable it then find the file

Yeah you are probably right, since the files I posted were not mine, the owner could have had it disabled at the time.

So I was looking through cydia today and there is a video recorder called yxcoder, which if we can get the permissions, we could edit the code. Once you download it and go into iphone browser, there is a file called BackgroundShape.png, which can be deleted, so do so. Then, when you load yxcoder, the original iphone camera shutter opens up and you can both record video and take pictures using yxcoder, because originally that background image covered the camera button. So if we can get the permissions to use the code, we could edit the code to add the switch that the 3gs has to go from the camera app to the video app, since yxcoder is both a picture taker and a video taker!

Also, on a side note, we could also change the icon to look like the original camera app and rename the app to "camera" with permission! Its just a thought!

not a bad idea actually. then you have to figure out a way to it to .mov format. its an mpeg 4 recorder

I did but the app has an ad. I don't think he ll be all interested in modifying the app. Also he's not listing the app in his site.
