- BossPref installed on the iPhone.

- Winterboard installed on the iPhone.

- iPhone Video Recorder 3 installed on the iPhone. (Cycorder doesn’t work.)

- OpenSSH installed on the iPhone.

- Know how to SSH and have a program that allows you to SSH.


STEPS:

1. Connect to your iPhone through SSH.

2. Navigate to “/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/”.
- Copy all the following files to the directory:
http://www.castelnau-le-lez.info/iph...GS/M68AP.plist
http://www.castelnau-le-lez.info/iph...68AP_bat.plist
http://www.castelnau-le-lez.info/iph...at_video.plist
http://www.castelnau-le-lez.info/iph...3GS/mode3G.txt

3. Navigate to “/Applications/BossPrefs.app/”.
- Copy all the following files to the directory:
http://www.castelnau-le-lez.info/iph...GS/mode3GS.png

4. Navigate to “/Applications/BossPrefs.app/services”.
- Copy all the following files to the directory:
http://www.castelnau-le-lez.info/iph...3G_3GS/mode3GS

5. Navigate to “/Applications/BossPrefs.app/scripts”.
- Copy all the following files to the directory and set them to 755:
http://www.castelnau-le-lez.info/iph...S/mode3GSon.sh
http://www.castelnau-le-lez.info/iph.../mode3GSoff.sh

6. Go into iPhone Video Recorder 3 preferences:
- Set the output directory for the videos to “DCIM/999APPLE/”.
- Set the format to "IMG_xxxx.MOV".
- Set the video format to “MPEG-4”

7. You are done!

^^^ all that does it put a toggle on bosstools so you can switch from normal camara to video editing, but it would be better if we can get it all in htere an where very close, check out the xsellize thread we alredy went thrhough that tutorial that was mentioned above

oh and the person with the 3gs cannot find the "com.apple.voiceover.enabled.launchd" file in the directory "/var/mobile/Library/ Preferences/com.apple.voiceover.enabled.launchd" so if anyone who was an iphone 3GS tell us where it actually is

I personally have not tried it but many users confirm it will allow video recorded to be edited using the native iPhone 3GS interface however it is quite a work around but with a bit more script it can be incorporated into the native iPhone 3G camera app like the one used on the 3GS.

I followed the guide and got the bosspref switch but it won't stay 'ON'. I have resprung and everything. And my french isn't good enough to go ask on that website. :P
