Lost may custom carrier logo after ATT update...
Hi, all
just a quick question here.
I had a custom logo for carrier setting (AT&T in US), but ever since the AT&T update thru iTunes, custom logo is gone!
I tried to replace the logo doing the usual like SSH, copying my file to the file location, but no go....I tried to replace both ATT and CINGULAR in US carrier bundle, but no luck....v
Anyone know how?
Thanks in advance.

I didn't have a issue with it....You can try MIM...(makeitmine).

Updates to the carrier bundle are not in the usual place, but in /var/mobile/Library/Carrier Bundles. Change the logo there and the problem should be solved.
Windows tool to edit .plist, .strings and .nib files: pledit.
Or use a website that will convert the binary form to a readable format.
On iPhone you can convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities from Cydia), or edit them with iFile (from Cydia).

That is just a shorcut that takes you to /System/Library/Carrier Bundles/ATT_US.bundle
It could also be that you named them wrong. The files are case sensitive. If you have one letter capitalized incorrectly, then it does not work. I struggled for so long with that on my phone.
Name the files exactly like this, same capitalization and everything:
Default_CARRIER_ATT.png
FSO_CARRIER_ATT.png
Default_CARRIER_CINGULAR.png
FSO_CARRIER_CINGULAR.png

After a carrier update, it isn't a shortcut anymore. It actually contains the latest update.
EDIT: In fact it's different: you are confusing the Carrier Bundle.bundle shortcut with the Carrier Bundles folder. The latter is created when a carrier update is installed.Last edited by Jim Danner; 04-18-2009 at 10:14 AM.
