Yeah seriously I'm sick of having to correct the word I use most.

If you enter the word a few times in Notes, it should be saved to your dictionary (apparently it works only with Notes, not with text messages).
Windows tool to edit .plist, .strings and .nib files: pledit.
Or use a website that will convert the binary form to a readable format.
On iPhone you can convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities from Cydia), or edit them with iFile (from Cydia).

Strange... Another option is to add a contact named lol to your address book. Or directly edit /var/mobile/Library/Keyboard/en_GB-dynamic-text.dat to add it (if you can find the right type of editor -- I suggest a hex editor).

LOL! I've had that happen several time, but on the facebook app. Kinda awkward and the other person is like, "what the f*ck?" Its really annoying. Try typing f*cking several time into notes like they said earlier in the thread. It worked for me.

I've read something about typing them into the google search bar in safari. This isn't a way to edit the dictionary to your liking but supposedly it is a way to add words. Have yet to try it.

Using it in the built in Google search does add it to the iPhone's dictionary.
